The Army School of Farriery, with its purpose built facility for both students and instructors, is recognised as one of the best farrier teaching facilities in Europe and has 7 Forges.

The School has two primary functions; it trains farriers to exacting military standards and is responsible for maintaining the horses stationed at the DAC.

The Farriers Registered Council and the Worshipful Company of Farriers have long recognised the excellence of the Army's farriery training and facilities, with international competitions being held at the DAC annually.
